B is for Birthing a Boy

His name is Michael, and he is my world.  I remember the day he came into my world.  He was a few weeks early.  I had been in and it of the hospital and on bed rest when the doctor said they weren't going to be able to continue stopping my labor.  My local hospital didn't have a NICU.  That's when the panic set in.  Scary option #1 was to deliver my sweet boy where we were and airlift him to the hospital with a NICU.  Scary option #2 was transfer me and hope I didn't give birth in the ambulance. Fortunately, we made it to the hospital in time for a pretty smooth delivery and he was in the NICU for just a few days.

This is one of my favorite pictures of him.  It was taken at his first birthday party!

  6. I'm so happy that he was born at a hospital and that everything has turned out okay. I had a set of twins born 8 weeks early who spent some time in the NICU. It is definitely an overwhelming situation, and I'm glad that yours has had a happy ending. He looks like a lovely little boy!
